About us

Noor Mitri was first introduced to Salsa while living in Kuwait – of all places! His travels around Europe furthered his passion for Salsa as he ventured to various Salsa events and learnt from resident locales. In 2001, Noor moved to Regina Saskatchewan Canada to pursue a University degree at the University of Regina . Realizing that Regina was lacking a Salsa scene, Noor began teaching Salsa at the University. It was there that he met his dance partner and girlfriend, Laura Fellinger.

Laura has over 23 years of dance experience including Ukrainian folk dance, Ballet, Flamenco, and Belly dancing. Besides teaching and performing Salsa, Laura also performs with the Poltava Ukrainian Dance Ensemble. Laura was first introduced to Salsa in 2001 while visiting a Salsa club in Calgary Alberta . When she returned to Regina , she was determined to learn how to Salsa dance and came across Noor’s Salsa class at the University.

Together Noor and Laura have built Regina ’s Salsa scene by teaching lessons, bringing in guest instructors, and promoting events.
